Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. Scope
These terms apply to the Appicta app for iPhone and iPad ("App") and to this website. By downloading or using the App you accept them. For the iOS App, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies in addition.
2. Use of the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own or your organisation's inspection and documentation work. You may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the App except where the law expressly allows it, and you may not use it unlawfully.
3. Your content
Plans, photos, voice memos and notes that you create or import remain yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for having the right to use this content, for the consent of people who are recorded or photographed, and for keeping reports confidential and lawful when you share them.
4. Documentation tool, no professional advice
The App is a documentation tool. Reports show what you enter. Appicta does not check their accuracy and does not replace professional judgement or any legal, safety or engineering inspection duty.
5. Availability, changes and paid features
We may update, change or discontinue the App or individual features at any time. We may introduce paid features in the future (for example in-app purchases through Apple). They will be shown clearly before you buy and are subject to Apple's terms.
6. Warranty
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, indirect damage, loss of data and lost profit is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, for example for injury to life, body or health, remains unaffected. Please keep copies of your exported reports.
8. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the App, its maintenance, support or any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the EULA terms.
9. Privacy
How the App handles data is described in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If you keep using the App after an update, you accept the new version.
11. Governing law
Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
