Turn a walkthrough into a finished report before you're back at your desk.

Appicta turns any PDF, or a photo of a plan, into a live, on-the-spot record. Tap to drop a numbered marker, attach a photo or a voice note, sketch what needs flagging — then export a client-ready PDF and photo report in one tap, before you've left.

Everything a walkthrough produces, structured before you leave.

01

Tap to annotate any PDF

Import the PDF you already have, or a photo or scan of a plan — a floor plan, a site map, a vehicle diagram, a survey form — and drop numbered markers directly on it. No redrawing, no separate app to keep in sync.

02

Photo and voice, per marker

Attach a photo and a spoken note to the spot that needs it. Type it later if you'd rather — both live on the same item, side by side.

03

Markup that stays true to the plan

Sketch a line and it scales and pans exactly with the page underneath — not a floating layer that drifts out of place when you zoom.

04

One tap to a finished package

An annotated PDF, a photo appendix, and every original photo and voice memo — packaged and ready to send before you're back at the office.

Straight from the app

See it on a real plan.

Who's behind it

Built by two engineers.

We're two engineers based in Switzerland, with hands-on experience in engineering practice. We've both walked out of a site visit with a phone full of unsorted photos and a notebook full of handwriting nobody else could read — then spent the evening turning it into something a client could actually use. Once we started looking, we saw the same evening playing out everywhere: property managers after a move-in walkthrough, fleet coordinators logging a vehicle's condition, ecologists writing up a survey route.

Appicta is the tool we wished existed then. The workflow is the same no matter the field — upload a plan, mark what you find, export a report — so we built it for any small team whose job includes walking somewhere, finding things, and writing it all up afterward, not a specialized suite for one industry.

Questions

Common questions about Appicta.

What is Appicta?

Appicta is a mobile app that turns any PDF, or an image of a plan, into a live, on-the-spot inspection record. You import a plan, drop numbered markers on it, attach photos and voice notes, sketch what needs flagging, and export a client-ready PDF and photo report in one tap — before you leave the site.

What kind of documents can I use with Appicta?

Any PDF you already have: a floor plan, a site map, a vehicle diagram, or a survey form. There is no redrawing and no separate app to keep in sync — you annotate directly on the PDF. You can also import images, such as photos or scans of a plan; Appicta converts them into a PDF to annotate.

Who is Appicta for?

Any small team whose work involves walking a site, finding things, and writing them up afterward — including property and real estate walkthroughs, vehicle and fleet inspections, environmental and ecological surveys, facilities and maintenance rounds, and construction site visits.

Is Appicta available for iPhone and Android?

Appicta is available now on Google Play for Android. The iOS version for iPhone is coming soon to the Apple App Store.

Does the markup stay accurate to the plan?

Yes. Sketches and markers scale and pan exactly with the page underneath, so they stay true to the plan instead of drifting out of place when you zoom.

Can I record the direction a photo was taken?

Yes. Long-press a marker and swipe in the direction the shot was taken — Appicta captures that heading and shows it on the annotation, so each photo in the report records which way it was facing.

Where is Appicta made?

Appicta is designed and built in Switzerland by two engineers with hands-on field experience.

Why was Appicta developed?

Most inspection software tries to be a whole platform, and you pay for that complexity. We built Appicta to do one job well: capture on a plan, export a report, and keep your data on your phone. Fewer features, a simpler tool, and a fair price.

Why is the layout of the reports so minimalistic?

Because this solution is lean and efficient. As most professionals use AI tools today, the copy-and-paste work to transform the Appicta output into corporate design (CD) templates is done in minutes.
